Pleaseeee help my brother!!

I know I don't always show it and if you ask me tomorrow I will probably deny it but I really do love my brother and am really proud of him.  He got an almost full tuition merit scholarship to the 5 week  Princeton Intensive this summer.  Unfortunately that still leaves him with over $2500 for room and board to come up with to be able to go.  I wrote in my blogger earlier about my plans to raise money for me this summer and I'm hoping to have it all covered.  Sooooo if any of you were thinking of trying to help me out I would reallllllllly appreciate it if you could send your help his way instead :)  He is helping me with the Just Between Friends sale so anything above and beyond what I need I will be passing his way but I don't think that's really going to make a dent in the number.  Mom and Dad are working on planning our next military move and money is going to get really tight (mom says I have to add "tight like not able to dance as much tight....NOT limiting food on the table tight").

I am also planning on giving Zan all of the profit I make from Village Dancer (my facebook page where I have stuff I have made) from now until June 5th (the deadline for him to get all of his money in) so if you were thinking about ordering nows a great time to get those orders in :)

I GOT THE SCARECROW!!!!!!!!

Totally forgot to tell you that I GOT THE PART OF THE SCARECROW in the dance studios production of Down the Yellow Brick Road (Wizard of Oz)....and one of my very best friends got the lion so we get to dance on stage together!!!!  I'll post the date and time when tickets go on sale!!!

My summer plans are finally figured out!! They aren't the plans I hoped for but I am really excited!!  Just to catch you up I was offered a partial merrit scholarship to a program I would've loved to go to but even with the scholarship it left us with to much that we would have had to pay :(  I was also accepted to Walla Walla but with Zan not going financially it wouldn't work.

So here is where I'm at:
My plan for this summer is to attend classes at the dance studio as well as signing up for (hopefully) two privates a week one for ballet technique and one for pointe.  All total it should be about $1000.

I have a plan to raise the money too :) There is a really cool sale here called Just between Friends where you can sell gently used baby to junior clothing, accessories and toys.  So far I have 464 items tagged and ready to go.  If any of my local readers would like to donate items to my effort I would really apreciate it :)  I'm hoping to raise enough to pay for my summer stuff.

Gotta keep dancing to make my village proud!!

Festival (hopefully) here I come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMGosh OMGosh OMGosh!!!!!!!!  I just got home from school and read the studio e-mails for the weekly schedule and GUESS WHAT!!!!!!!!! Second year junior company has the opportunity to go to festival this year!!!!!!!!  Only thing that may stop me from being able to go is money :s I have to have a $100 deposit in by Dec 8th.  Anyone need any hair bows, flowers or embroidered items?  With Christmas coming maybe I can get enough orders together to make it happen!!!!  I am working as hard as I can to dance my way to my dreams and I feel like my path is unfolding right before my eyes!! I just have a few hurdles here and there that keep me on my toes LOL :)

NUTCRACKER PARTS!!!!!

I am soooo sorry it has taken me so long to write about nutcracker auditions and parts!!  This is the first year I was allowed to go to the company audition and wow was it different then the children audition that I have attended for the last two years.  I was one of the youngest ones there but still one of the taller girls :)  Getting to see the older girls audition really gave me motivation to keep working hard and to push myself in all of my classes!

So by the end of auditions I was hoping pretty hard that I would get Angel this year (it's a pointe part) and figured I would probably get soldier again...which would totally be okay but the white face makeup is no fun to put on and take off daily...and/or possibly choir which is the group that is on stage during the pre-scene.

So when the cast list went up I was soooooo excited to see that I HAD gotten ANGEL but then I didn't see my name on soldier or choir......but then.......then........guess what!!!!!!  I found my name listed as one of the four HAREM!!!!! (insert me jumping up and down for joy!!!!!!)  So I think it's safe to say that I am really excited for this year!!!!

Please if you can come see PDT's Nutcracker this year!  It's Dec 6, 7 and 8th!  Tickets went on sale today :)

Two weeks into the year and dance it going great!  The cast list went up last Saturday and I am really excited with my parts!!!  I got one of the six swans and I am a part of Spring!!  Rehearsals have already started and it has been so great!  I'm so happy to be dancing with old friends and new friends!! This show is going to be AMAZING!!!

Life moves so fast and I am having a blast moving with it!!  Evergreen was AMAZING and I learned so much!  I had classes with awesome teachers and professionals that are living their dreams!  Now I'm home and the first week of dance for the year has started!!  I got my company contract in I'm Junior Company II this year!!  Auditions are this friday for the school tour and this year it's "The Ugly Duckling"  Think there are any giraffes in it?  I think it would be fun to dance as a giraffe :p

There are so many wonderful opportunities out there for me to continue my training this coming summer and I am looking at ALL of my options.  Unfortunately everything cost money and I can't depend on my family to pay for it all so I am hoping create projects that others are interested in and help out the best I can.

My dreams are coming true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So much is going on and I am so excited!!  I leave in two wake ups for Evergreen!!!  My bags are packed and plans have been made!!  I raised enough to get there and have a place to stay!!

I had a discussion with my family and had to make the hard decision to pull my pre-registration for the summer intensive at the studio this year.  I'm really bummed that I don't get to attend this year but as of now I should be able to take all of the classes I want/need to take for the next school/dance year so it will be okay.

I have a lot of hard work ahead of me and as a 12 year old it is really hard to find ways to raise money to help so I have started sewing and making hair bows.  I created a face book page to share this with anyone who is interested.  Thank you sooooo much for following me in my journey.

My wish is coming true (sorry I haven't updated in a long time)

I am soooo sorry!  I have gotten really behind on this blog!  Please forgive me!

So recital was AWESOME!  I was in the ballet and then 5 pieces in the second half.  Quick changes, make-up changes, shoe changes, friends, family watching....there really wasn't a bad part to the day :)

I have been attending summer dance classes at the at studio and was even able to take a private lesson with one of my favorite teachers and it was AMAZING!!  I learned sooooo much!!

I am leaving for three weeks on July 22 to go to Evergreen :) My mom and dad were able to get the tuition together for me with the help of the donations I received from you my wonderful readers (mom I think you may be the only one at this point)  I did a garage sale with one of my best friends to help with the cost....we each raised $200 to help.  So now for the big stuff I still need $100 for lodging and then money for food, shoes (character) and tights.  I'm so close to getting where I need to be :)

Wish me luck cause I am heading out to dance my way to my dreams :)

I GOT IN!!!!

I DID IT!!!!!!!  I GOT IN!!!!!!  I am sooooo excited I got into the Evergreen Summer program for 3 weeks at the intermediate level!!  I can't believe I am getting this opportunity!!  There are going to be amazing instructors and I get to go with some of my friends from the studio that I went and auditioned with :)  I will post more information as we get closer but right now I need to raise the money to attend.  Tuition will be $825 for the 3 weeks.  One of the moms from the studio is planning to take her RV up so we can camp near by for about $300 total for the 3 weeks and then all I will have left to figure out is food.........I soooooo hope I get to go!!!!!!  If anyone knows of any jobs I can do...I am 11 almost 12 (April 24) please let me know.  I have been babysitting my sisters for a year and can follow directions if you have yard work or cleaning you need done.  Thank you sooo much for all of the support I have been given as I grow as a dancer and reach for the stars!

My foot

So here is what happened...
I was in modern class and landed a jump to the floor wrong.  It hurt but I've had worse, plus auditions for Snow White were right after class.  When class was over I went out to my mom and we talked it out, she told me it was up to me but that if I could,  stretching it during the bar warm-up would probably help...so that's what I did.  It was still hurting but manageable pain and I really wanted to finnish out the audition so I kept dancing......and dancing...and then it was time for pointe.  I went to put my shoes on and then my finger started bleeding (unrelated to anything else just a hang nail that caught) and at that point I was done....I found my wall....looking back I am really bummed that I wasn't able to show my pointe work but I am really excited with the part that I got!!

I'm excited to announce that I AM THE LEAD CHIPMUNK!!!!!! That means I get to dance with a combo class (that's the really cute little kids)!!!!

Now off to work with my mom and figure out my costume....hope you all can come and watch me dance :) June 2nd :) Oh my siblings are in it too...Zan is the prince, Emma is a bluebird, a soap bubble, and a spider and Silver is a bumblebee :)

This weekend is going to be EPIC!!!

I am so excited!! This weekend I get to go audition for the evergreen summer program!!  My family just had to buy a new car because our old one was in an accident (no one was hurt).  So we have a 15 passenger van now :)  We are making this into a mini road trip and some of my friends that are auditioning get to ride with us :)

When I get in :)  It will be time to fundraise like mad because I will be short on time to get the money to go, so if anyone reading this has any jobs I can do baby siting, yard work, cleaning or anything else that  I'm able to do please let me know :)

My Plan!!

So here is my summer plan...

1) Help my family figure out how to make a ballet barre for our house.
2) Streach for at least an hour a day and practice practice practice!!
3) Find a summer class in Spokane or somewhere else with a strong program
4) Dance my heart out and be the BEST I can be :)
5) Enroll in and attend the choreography intensive at BDC (if they offer it) and WOW them with all the work I have done over the summer :)
6)Go to Walla Walla auditions again next year!!
